Popularity and Jobs Growing for MBAs, Business-Programs.com and Fortune Suggest

(PRWeb) November 21, 2006 -- Business-Programs.com, a Web site offering educational business school resources, has seen increased popularity in MBA topics. The article, "Top Ten Reasons to Get a Masters of Business Administration" (http://www.business-programs.com/articles/reasons-to-get-a-mba.html) alone has received 10 percent of all article traffic in October 2006. This strong interest appears to correspond with a Fortune Magazine survey in which 98 percent of surveyed schools reported a significant increase in job offers to MBA students. The interest at Business-Programs.com may also reveal the growing acceptance of online MBA degree programs.

"The fact that the MBA can be learned online makes it particularly appealing to business professionals whose busy schedules might otherwise preclude them from continuing their education," says Bob Embrey, CEO and founder of the technology and management consulting firm Embrey & Associates, Inc.

The MBA Career Services Council (MBACSC), a professional association for MBA career services, corroborates the favorable outlook for the MBA graduate. Eighty-one percent of respondents predicted that the MBA job market will slightly or significantly improve.

Fortune Magazine predicts an increase in job offers, starting salaries, and signing bonuses for MBA students. Ninety-eight percent of the country's top business schools reported an increase in job offers to their MBA students. Seventy percent reported higher starting salaries and signing bonuses.

Furthermore, a Business Week poll found that the MBA graduate earned an average salary of $95,000--over $8,000 more than reported in 2004.

The online MBA allows working professionals an opportunity to further their career through distance learning programs. Embrey points out that online MBA programs look just as good to employers, "Employers like the online MBA for the same reason--the flexibility gives them a chance to educate their workforce without huge impact on day to day operations."

Other Business-Programs.com's articles such as "MBA Schools Overhaul Programs for Real World," (http://www.business-programs.com/articles/mba-schools-overhaul-programs-for-real-world.html) provide potential MBA students with practical advice when choosing a degree program.

Business-Programs.com offers educational resources to help professionals succeed in the competitive world of business whether visitors want to earn an MBA or even a business technology degree. Visitors can browse a directory of business schools or visit an extensive library of articles focused on business programs.
