HireRight Releases Key Enhancements to I-9 Solution: Employment Eligibility Solution Gives Employers Big Picture View, Integration into Talent

IRVINE, Calif. (Business Wire EON) March 18, 2008 -- According to Eric Boden, chairman and chief executive officer of HireRight, "The laws and requirements related to employment eligibility are rapidly changing. The HireRight I-9 Solution helps employers manage these shifting compliance requirements and the multitude of variables that exist in operating an effective I-9 program today."

The HireRight I-9 Solution is designed to replace the traditional, paper- and labor-intensive, error-prone I-9 process with an automated, secure, efficient, and scalable on-demand management solution. It not only manages I-9 records and documentation as required by law, it also automates and integrates instant employment eligibility verification through the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) E-Verify program. The new version expands the HireRight I-9 Solution's already extensive capabilities with the following additional new features:

-- Management Reports: An enhanced suite of management reports that give the employer greater visibility into the entire employment eligibility program, helping to ensure all employees have completed up-to-date I-9 forms and are compliant with employment eligibility regulations.

-- Employee Kiosk: A solution access capability that allows new and existing employees without e-mail addresses to log-on from anywhere and self-register to complete their I-9 forms.

-- E-mail Alerts: Advanced e-mail alerts that provide notifications when I-9 forms are completed, when I-9 forms have not been completed by day three, and when re-verification is required for expiring work authorizations.

-- Document Upload: Scan and upload capability to permit historical paper I-9 forms and supporting documentation to be easily loaded into the system.

-- Smart Delete: An integrated solution feature which determines which I-9 forms, and supporting documentation, have met federal retention guidelines and may be deleted.

-- HR System Integration: Integration with talent management solutions to allow hiring professionals to perform all of their required tasks easily from a single screen.

As an option, the HireRight I-9 Solution can be implemented in an integrated fashion with HireRight's employment background screening solution.

HireRight is an approved designated agent of the DHS E-Verify Program. For more information regarding the HireRight I-9 Solution, go to: www.hireright.com/I9.
